Why alternatives when pirated ones are online?

Ever thought of the dreams of a coder who codes very hard to create a software to make some money and wakes up in the morning to see his product stolen and resold for free (pirated copies)!

Pirating software is the best way to use them for free by stealing the inventor's idea without paying them what they demand, for the work they did. But we know it's damn hard to build a PC! You need to buy monitor, Power supply, Ram, Hard disk, Graphics processing unit or video card, CD drive, CPU tower, motherboard, processor, cooling fans, internet connection, printer and so on..(squeezes our pockets). Anyway, it's gonna squeeze our pockets so better add Rs.12,000 for an operating system like Microsoft Windows or Linux for free and buy a GPU later!

 

You can fight (because it has become a resource like water these days for students!) with Microsoft to bring their product price down or build your own or get it from someone who gives it for free (Linux) but, in this case pirating is not a good option. Off course you are not hurting them physically but you're messing up with their work which they rely on to buy their food and to pay their bills (leave Microsoft, think about the small scale developers)! So is pirating bad? Not at all if you're planning to test it and check if it contains any harmful PUP's that steals personal info. of others and so on...

 

The problem is using the pirated software without thinking about the creator.

 

Pirating and releasing the pirated software for others to use this software for free, just because the software licensing is weak is like stealing from the house that is weakly guarded and sharing it with people! Both are Offense. Now I hope you understand the problem here. But that doesn't mean "Ban piracy"! Because piracy has it's pros too. You can read more about it in my JOURNAL. What should I do if I am using pirated software? Well, search for alternatives! Sometimes it's hard to convince yourself to use an alternative as it doesn't have the feature you're using now! But you have no idea what are the features the alternative has, so start by analyzing and understanding your needs. Critics and ideas are welcome through the comments section below.
