Pirating Softwares: good 'n' bad

Ever thought about the dreams of a coder who codes very hard to create a software, publishes it, and wakes up in the morning to find his product pirated! Would you be happy if you were that coder?

Pirating software is the best way to use them for free by stealing the inventors idea without paying them what they demand (not even their permission!). But we know it really squeezes the jell'o' out of your pocket to build a PC ! You need to buy monitor, Power supply, Ram, Hard disk, Graphics processing unit or video card, CD drive, CPU tower, mother board, processor , cooling fans, internet connection, printer, speakers, headset, cables and so on...Anyway you are squeezed so better set Rs.12,000 for OS or free in case of Linux. Many don't give a thought about software because it's available on the internet for free ! Pirated! May be that's the part where we are low - ethically.
So what to do ethically?
You can fight with Microsoft or adobe to bring their product price down or build your own or get it from someone who gives it for free (like Linux or libre office) but pirating is not good option. Off course you are not hurting them physically but your messing up with their work which they rely on to buy their food and to pay their bills! Something called intellectual stealing is what you're involved in if you are using pirated software.
So pirating should be banned?
Nope,
It's good as you are finding the problems in the software and understanding the way to rectify it.
You understand how licensing software works.
It actually improves your coding capabilities.
It gives you a taste of software your planning to buy if there is no complete trial version available! (only if your buying as there is nothing like trial room for software, not here !)
The problem is using the pirated softwares without paying tribute to the inventor!
What to do when pirating is easy for me and software is too weak?
Pirating and releasing the pirated software just because the software is weak is like stealing from the house that is weakly guarded and sharing it to people! bloody money and bloody software! Both are Offense. Now i hope you understand the problem here.
Now I know exactly what your thinking, "so can we steal the house to check it's defense?". Hmm... get permission dude...
In case of software you need to buy the software to pirate it unless you get a legal copy otherwise. So, you can pirate and test software without sharing!
Do software producers get benefited from pirating their software?
Most of the producers will be crushed to ground! But not all! Very few famous software big-shots want their customers to know how their software tastes like and want them feel that it's impossible to live without it. Definitely you will be attracted and higher chances of buying it! But you'll never know what they think ! So don't take that as an excuse ! You're being trapped in their nets ! Again there are very few like this and they don't tell you to do so (though their intention is to do so), so don't do it unless you have a higher moral need!
What should i do if i am using pirated software?
Well, search for alternatives! Some times it's hard to convince yourself to use an alternative as it doesn't have the feature your using now! But you have no idea what are the features the alternative has , so start by analyzing and understanding your needs and accepting your mistakes.
( Everyone does mistakes :D ! But few try changing! )

or you can use google chrome for editing and create office file using this extension Office editing for docs, sheets, and slides and google docs offline for offline and online use

YOU are free!
YOU don't owe anyone anything and it influences you to create software to cater your needs (so do millions) so you learn! No one can accuse you! You are not responsible for someone's (inventor's) debt ,hate, anger! No one you need to fear for you are clean! No one can blame you! No can can ban the software you are using! You're good and you can be proud about it.
After all good experience is what you live for in this world and Life is all about sharing as we can't take anything for ourselves! Not forever!. So.make sure others too get good experience or at least make sure you don't give them anything bad!
